Our team performs a range of soft tissue surgeries on pets. Soft tissue surgeries include procedures that don’t involve bones. All surgeries are performed in our fully equipped surgical suite, which includes a range of equipment that allows us to complete your pet’s procedure safely and successfully.
What soft tissue surgeries do you perform?
One of the most common soft tissue surgeries we perform are mass/lump removals. Typically, most masses or lumps we remove aren’t harmful. However, if we discover it is cancerous, early removal and diagnosis give us the best chance to treat your pet effectively. Other soft tissue surgeries we perform include:
- Gastrointestinal
- Heart surgery
- Lung surgery
- Eye surgery
- Ear surgery
When do you recommend soft tissue surgery?
Depending on your pet’s condition, soft tissue surgery could be the right solution for them. For example, if your pet often has ear infections, improving the airflow in the ear canal can alleviate pain and discomfort. If your pet is constantly tearing up, this could be a sign of infection or damage to the cornea (the eye’s outer layer). Surgery can speed up the cornea’s healing process by improving your pet’s eyesight with minimal scarring. For some pets, their eyelashes can cause damage to their cornea. Surgical intervention can improve their comfort level, reducing the chances of their cornea scarring while enhancing your pet’s long-term vision.
